The Wizards must have seen this coming.

The NBA has suspended Wizards forward Kelly Oubre for Sunday's Game 4 of the team's second-round series with the Celtics for "making forceful and unwarranted contact" with Celtics forward Kelly Olynyk during Thursday's Game 3. Here is the official statement from the NBA:

NEW YORK, May 6, 2017 - Washington Wizards forward Kelly Oubre Jr. has been suspended one game without pay for charging and making forceful and unwarranted contact with Boston Celtics center Kelly Olynyk, it was announced today by Kiki VanDeWeghe, Executive Vice President, Basketball Operations.

The incident, for which Oubre was assessed a Flagrant Foul 2 and ejected, occurred with 9:12 remaining in the second quarter of the Wizards' 116-89 win over the Celtics on May 4 at Verizon Center.

Oubre will serve his suspension on Sunday, May 7 when Washington hosts Boston in Game 4 of an Eastern Conference Semifinals series.

The news was first reported by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical.

Oubre ran full-speed toward Olynyk and shoved him to the ground after being hit with what he thought was an unnecessarily hard screen during the Wizards' 116-89 Game 3 win.

The suspension really isn't a surprise given the nature of the incident, as most expected Oubre to be held out of at least one game.

The loss of Oubre is big for the Wizards, whose bench has struggled all year long to produce offense. Oubre has averaged 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds off the bench for Washington this postseason while making 40 percent of his 3-pointers. He also adds versatility to the roster since he's able to play multiple positions.

His absence will likely mean more run for the Wizards starters, and possibly more playing time for reserve Bojan Bogdanovic.
