Report: Heat eliminated from Gordon Hayward sweepstakes; down to Celtics, Jazz
The All-Star forward reportedly eliminated Miami from contention on Monday night
We're still not sure where All-Star forward Gordon Hayward will play next season, but it looks like it won't be in Miami.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Hayward eliminated the Heat from contention on Monday night and will choose between the Celtics and the Jazz.
We reported pessimism on Hayward/Heat front this AM, and ESPN's Woj reports Heat was eliminated from consideration last night....

Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports the Heat have not been informed of any such decision, although that doesn't necessarily mean that Hayward has not taken the Heat out of the running in his own mind.
As of now, Heat have not been informed they were eliminated from the Gordon Hayward sweepstakes, according to source. https://t.co/X1D63fiikt

It was a tumultuous Tuesday for Hayward, who was originally reported to have chosen the Boston Celtics before conflicting reports emerged saying Hayward hadn't made a commitment.
If Miami is eliminated, president Pat Riley and the front office will focus on the remaining free agent market, including Dion Waiters, who was third on the team last season with 15.8 points per game.
