What to Know
The Orlando Magic haven't won a game against the Atlanta Hawks since Feb. 26 of last year, but they'll be looking to end the drought Wednesday. After a few days' rest for both teams, they will meet up at 7:30 p.m. ET Dec. 22 at State Farm Arena. Orlando isn't expected to win, but seeing as the odds didn't stop them last game, maybe the squad has another upset up their sleeve.
The Magic beat the Brooklyn Nets 100-93 this past Saturday. The top scorer for Orlando was center Robin Lopez (20 points).
Meanwhile, Atlanta received a tough blow last week as they fell 133-115 to the Denver Nuggets. Atlanta was down 106-87 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. Point guard Trae Young put forth a good effort for the losing side as he posted a double-double on 34 points and ten assists.
Orlando is now 6-25 while the Hawks sit at 14-15. Two offensive numbers to keep in mind before tip-off: The Magic have only been able to knock down 42.30% percent of their shots, which is the third lowest field goal percentage in the league. Atlanta's offense has more to brag about, as they they rank fourth in the league when it comes to points per game, with 111.5 on average. So the cards are definitely stacked in their favor.
