Hawks' Buddy Hield: Set to make debut with Atlanta
Hield (recently traded) is available for Saturday's game against the Hornets.
Hield and Jonathan Kuminga (knee) were traded by the Warriors on Wednesday in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis (Achilles). With the trade finalized, Hield is ready to make his debut for the Hawks, though he'll be competing with fellow veterans CJ McCollum and Gabe Vincent for minutes off the bench behind backcourt starters Dyson Daniels and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Hield averaged 11.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.1 threes and 1.0 steals over 20.3 minutes per game over his last nine games with Golden State.

Hawks' Buddy Hield: Questionable for Saturday
Hield (recently traded) is questionable for Saturday's game against the Hornets.
With Wednesday's trade still pending, Hield is uncertain for his Hawks debut Saturday. If the veteran sharpshooter is out, Zaccharie Risacher and Corey Kispert should both see a considerable workload.

Hawks' Buddy Hield: Traded to Hawks
The Warriors traded Hield and Jonathan Kuminga (knee) to the Hawks on Wednesday in exchange for Kristaps Porzingis (illness), Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Hield joins the Hawks after two seasons in Golden State. The 33-year-old is averaging 8.0 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 17.5 minutes per game this season while shooting what would be a career-low 34.2 percent from three-point land. He'll have to compete with Corey Kispert and Luke Kennard for minutes off the bench in Atlanta. Hield likely won't be ready in time to face the Jazz on Thursday, making Saturday against Charlotte his next chance to make his Hawks debut.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Usage bump looming
Hield produced 16 points (6-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt), four rebounds, two assists and one steal in 23 minutes during Monday's 135-112 victory over the Heat.
It's unclear how Steve Kerr will proceed without Jimmy Butler (knee), but Hield's minutes will probably jump somewhat. He's often served as a backcourt replacement, but his sharpshooting skills can also come in handy at the wing. He'll likely be a prime pivot along with De'Anthony Melton (knee) as the Warriors try to stay relevant in the Western Conference.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Big defensive effort Saturday
Hield finished with 14 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals in 18 minutes off the bench during Saturday's 136-116 victory over Charlotte.
The 14 points were his best scoring effort since Dec. 4, while the five combined steals and blocks were a season high. Hield is still struggling to maintain a consistent spot in the rotation, but performances like this will bolster his case for regular minutes.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Muted role continues
Hield had six points (3-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt), three rebounds, one block and two steals in 11 minutes during Monday's 120-107 win over the Nets.
Hield continues to play a muted role, having now logged no more than 15 minutes in six straight games, two of which he failed to see the court. While expectations were relatively low coming into the season, Hield has been even worse, averaging just 7.5 points and 1.4 three-pointers in 17.6 minutes per game through 31 appearances. Sitting well outside the top 250 in standard leagues, it appears as though Hield's days of being a fantasy asset are now well behind him.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Minimal role continues
Hield supplied three points (1-2 FG, 1-2 3Pt), three rebounds and one assist over 14 minutes during Sunday's 141-127 overtime loss to the Raptors.
Hield's role continues to trend in the wrong direction as the Warriors look to give other rotation players a fair shot. Over his last five appearances, Hield has seen 12.6 minutes per contest with 5.0 points, 1.8 rebounds and 1.4 three-pointers per game.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Drops out of rotation
Hield (coach's decision) went unused off the bench in Saturday's 119-116 win over the Suns.
Though Golden State ran with the same starting five for the third game in a row, head coach Steve Kerr continued to tinker with the back end of his rotation. For the first time all season, Hield found himself as the odd man out, even on a night Golden State used 12 players. Kerr elected to reopen a spot in the rotation Will Richard, who hadn't appeared in any of the past three games but responded with a 20-point, five-rebound effort off the bench. Richard's performance could earn him more opportunities on the second unit at the expense of Hield, who had seen his playing time drop in each ensuing game since he made a 26-minute start Dec. 6 in Cleveland.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Back to second unit
Hield will come off the bench Sunday against Portland, Danny Emerman of SFStandard.com reports.
Golden State's lineups continue to be fluid, and this time it's Hield and Pat Spencer who will move to the second unit. Hield is coming off a pair of duds with an average of 7.5 points over his last two outings.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Draws start Saturday
Hield will start Saturday's game against the Cavaliers, Anthony Slater of ESPN.com reports.
The Warriors will shake things up with several lineup changes Saturday. With so much offensive firepower on the sidelines with injuries, Hield will have a big opportunity to get up plenty of shots Saturday.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Adds 14 points off bench
Hield closed Thursday's 99-98 loss to the 76ers with 14 points (6-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt), eight rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals in 26 minutes.
Hield received plenty of looks from beyond the arc Thursday night, but he was unable to capitalize. He's struggled to find his groove over his last three matchups, sinking only six of 23 attempts (26.1 percent). Even so, Hield could continue to see key minutes off the bench if Jimmy Butler (knee) misses more time.

Warriors' Buddy Hield: Inefficient 13 points Tuesday
Hield recorded 13 points (4-15 FG, 2-9 3Pt, 3-3 FT), one rebound, four assists and two steals over 28 minutes during Tuesday's 124-112 loss to the Thunder.
Hield had quite a green light to shoot Tuesday, which makes sense given the early departure of Jimmy Butler (knee) and absence of Stephen Curry (quadriceps). Even so, the veteran sharpshooter remains a hit-or-miss fantasy option, having averaged 8.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 20.7 minutes per game over his last seven outings.
