49ers vs. Seahawks updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the 49ers vs. Seahawks football game
The San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks will face off in an NFC West clash at 4:05 p.m. ET Oct. 3 at Levi's Stadium. The 49ers have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since September of 2016, but a win here would be a good start.
San Francisco was hampered by 86 penalty yards against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. San Francisco fell in a 30-28 heartbreaker. The matchup was as close as the oddsmakers predicted, but they had been the slight favorite coming in. No one had a standout game offensively for San Francisco, but they got scores from a handful of players including FB Kyle Juszczyk, QB Trey Lance, and WR Brandon Aiyuk. QB Jimmy Garoppolo ended up with a passer rating of 128.
Meanwhile, Seattle might have drawn first blood against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, but it was Minnesota who got the last laugh. The Seahawks came up short against the Vikings, falling 30-17. Despite the loss, Seattle had strong showings from RB Chris Carson, who punched in one rushing touchdown, and WR DK Metcalf, who caught six passes for one TD and 107 yards.
These two teams will surely be fighting tooth and nail to get back into the win column after losses this week. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
