Cardinals vs. Panthers updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Cardinals vs. Panthers football game
Game Recap
The point spread favored the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, but luck did not. Things couldn't have gone much worse for them as they lost 34-10 to the Carolina Panthers. That's the fewest points Arizona has scored all year.
Carolina's RB Christian McCaffrey looked sharp as he picked up 95 yards on the ground on 13 carries and caught ten passes for 66 yards. On the other hand, one thorn in the Panthers' side was the less-than-spectacular play of QB P.J. Walker, who threw one interception and fumbled the ball once with only 5.76 yards per passing attempt.
Carolina's defense was a presence, holding Arizona to a paltry 169 yards. The defense got past Arizona's offensive line to sack the QB four times for a total loss of 39 yards. It was a group effort with four guys contributing.
The Cardinals' only offensive touchdown came from RB James Conner.
Arizona's loss pushed them down to 8-2. The win got the Panthers back to even at 5-5.
Arizona will square off against the Seattle Seahawks at 4:25 p.m. ET next Sunday at Lumen Field. Seattle also experienced difficulties finding the end zone in their contest two weeks ago, so look for the defenses to decide this one. Carolina will take on the Washington Football Team at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at home. Like Carolina, Washington is also coming into the matchup bolstered by a recent victory.
