Cardinals vs. Texans Live updates Score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Cardinals vs. Texans football game
The Arizona Cardinals will look to defend their home turf on Sunday against the Houston Texans at 4:25 p.m. ET. Arizona has a defense that allows only 18.17 points per game, so Houston's offense will have their work cut out for them.
You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Cardinals' strategy against the Cleveland Browns last week. Arizona took their contest against Cleveland by a conclusive 37-14 score. Arizona's QB Kyler Murray did his thing and passed for four TDs and 229 yards on 30 attempts.
Special teams collected 13 points for Arizona. K Matt Prater delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
Meanwhile, the oddsmakers predicted a rough matchup for the Texans last week, and boy were they were right. They found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unfortunate 31-3 punch to the gut against the Indianapolis Colts. Houston was down 24-3 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. QB Davis Mills had a memorable game, but not in the way you want to be remembered: besides failing to produce a single touchdown, he threw two interceptions with only 5.65 yards per passing attempt.
Arizona is the favorite in this one, with an expected 17.5-point margin of victory. They might be worth taking a chance on against the spread as they are currently on a four-game streak of ATS wins.
Arizona's win lifted them to 6-0 while Houston's loss dropped them down to 1-5. The Arizona defense got after the quarterback against Cleveland to the tune of five sacks, so Houston's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
