Chargers vs. Jets updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Chargers vs. Jets football game
Game Recap
The Los Angeles Chargers were successful in their previous meeting against the New York Jets, and they didn't afford New York any payback this time around. The Chargers got past the Jets with less than a touchdown to spare, ending up at 34-28. That was the first win for Los Angeles since their win over the Jacksonville Jaguars four weeks ago.
It was another big night for Los Angeles' QB Justin Herbert, who passed for three TDs and 366 yards on 49 attempts. Herbert ended up with a passer rating of 158.50. Los Angeles' CB Tevaughn Campbell got in on the action, too, converting a pick in the first quarter into a touchdown.
No one had a standout game offensively for New York, but they got scores from a handful of players including RB Frank Gore, WR Breshad Perriman, and TE Chris Herndon. QB Joe Flacco ended up with a passer rating of 122.70.
Los Angeles' victory brought them up to 3-7. The Jets still haven't won a matchup and fell to 0-10.
The Chargers will take on the Buffalo Bills at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Bills Stadium. Buffalo took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Los Angeles' good fortune. New York will be playing at home against the Miami Dolphins at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday. New York is the favorite in this one, with an expected 3.5-point margin of victory.
