Falcons vs. Vikings score: Live updates, stats, results, highlights for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Falcons vs. Vikings football game
After two games on the road, the Falcons are heading back home. They will take on the Minnesota Vikings at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.
The point spread may have favored Atlanta last Sunday, but the final result did not. They took a 28-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Titans.
Despite the defeat, the Falcons had strong showings from Taylor Heinicke, who threw for 175 yards and a touchdown, and Bijan Robinson, who rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Minnesota had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Sunday. They took down the Packers 24-10.
Kirk Cousins looked great while leading his team to the win, throwing for 274 yards and two touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes.
The Vikings' defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was D.J. Wonnum and his two sacks.
Tennessee's victory bumped their season record to 3-4 while Atlanta's defeat dropped theirs to 4-4.
As for their next game, the Falcons are the favorite in this one, as the experts expect to see them win by five points. Bettors picking them against the spread have some confidence (to put it mildly), as the team is sitting on a four-game streak of failing to cover when expected to win.
