Preview
The Giants will be in front of their home fans on Sunday, but a look at the spread shows they might need that home-field advantage. They will take on the New England Patriots at 1:00 p.m. ET on Sunday. The Giants will be strutting in after a win while the Patriots will be stumbling in from a defeat.
New York has more to be thankful for after their contest against Washington on Sunday. The Giants came out on top against the Commanders by a score of 31-19. The victory was some much needed relief for New York as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
The Giants' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Saquon Barkley, who gained 140 total yards and two touchdowns, and Tommy DeVito, who threw for 246 yards and three touchdowns. Isaiah Simmons got in on the action as well, converting a pick in the fourth quarter into a touchdown.
Another reason for the win was the Giants' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for four sacks. The Commanders' QB won't forget Kayvon Thibodeaux anytime soon given Thibodeaux sacked him twice.
Meanwhile, New England's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Sunday after their third straight loss. They fell to the Colts 10-6. Despite 76 more yards than Indianapolis, New England couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
The losses dropped New York to 3-8 and Washington to 4-7.
