Giants vs. The Washington Football Team: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Giants vs. Football Team football game
The New York Giants are home on Sunday, but with the point spread against them by 7 points, it might not be quite the welcoming they would prefer. The Giants and the Washington Football Team will face off in an NFC East battle at 1 p.m. ET at MetLife Stadium. Given that these two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
2022 "welcomed" New York with a 29-3 beatdown courtesy of the Chicago Bears last week. The last quarter was a mere formality since it was already 29-3 by the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Washington was within a late touchdown of stealing the win, but they took the "L" against the Philadelphia Eagles 20-16. QB Taylor Heinicke wasn't much of a difference maker for Washington; Heinicke threw one interception. Heinicke ended up with a passer rating of 127.10.
Most of the squad's points came courtesy of special teams, which contributed ten. K Joey Slye delivered a perfect 3-for-3 game.
The losses put Washington at 6-10 and New York at 4-12. Neither team can make the playoffs, so they're playing for draft order now.
It could have gone either way late during winning time for the Giants or Washington in the teams' previous meeting last September, but it was Washington snatching the 30-29 victory. Maybe New York will have more luck at home instead of on the road? Watch the matchup and check back on CBS Sports for all the details.
