Live scores, highlights and updates from the Jets vs. Bills football game
Game Recap
When you finish with 232 more yards than your opponent like the Buffalo Bills did on Sunday, a favorable outcome is almost sure to follow. They came out on top against the New York Jets by a score of 18-10. That's another feather in the cap for the Bills, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Buffalo couldn't find the end zone and got their points from six field goals. QB Josh Allen ended up with a passer rating of 129.70. K Tyler Bass added his talents, too, launching six field goals between the uprights.
Buffalo's defense was a presence, holding New York to a paltry 190 yards. The defense embarrassed New York's offensive line to sack QB Sam Darnold six times for a loss of 29 yards. Leading the way was DE Jerry Hughes and his two sacks. Those were the first sacks for Hughes this year.
New York's only offensive touchdown came from RB Lamical Perine.
The win improved the Bills' record to 5-2. The Jets still haven't won a contest and fell to 0-7.
Buffalo will look to defend their home turf next Sunday against the New England Patriots at 1 p.m. ET. New England is limping into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for New York, they will go up against the Kansas City Chiefs at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium. New York is heading into an offensive buzzsaw as that squad is averaging 31 per matchup.
