Jets vs. Saints: Live updates, score, results, highlights, for Sunday's NFL game
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Jets vs. Saints football game
This Sunday, the New York Jets are hoping to patch up the holes in a defense that has allowed an average of 30.58 points per game. Their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the New Orleans Saints at 1 p.m. ET Dec. 12 at MetLife Stadium. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W.'
New York received a tough blow last week as they fell 33-18 to the Philadelphia Eagles. Despite the defeat, the Jets had strong showings from QB Zach Wilson, who passed for two TDs and 226 yards on 38 attempts in addition to punching in one rushing touchdown, and WR Elijah Moore, who caught six passes for one TD and 77 yards. Wilson ended up with a passer rating of 122.60.
Meanwhile, New Orleans came up short against the Dallas Cowboys last Thursday, falling 27-17. No one had a standout game offensively for New Orleans, but they got scores from WR Deonte Harris and WR Lil'Jordan Humphrey. This was the first time QB Taysom Hill has racked up 100+ rushing yards all year.
New York is expected to lose this next one by 5.5. Those betting on them against the spread shouldn't have high expectations for them since the squad is 2-9 ATS when expected to lose.
The losses put New York at 3-9 and the Saints at 5-7. The Jets are 3-5 after losses this season, New Orleans 2-4.
