Jets vs. Titans updates: Live NFL game scores, results for Sunday
Live scores, highlights and updates from the Jets vs. Titans football game
The New York Jets will square off against the Tennessee Titans at 1 p.m. ET next Sunday at MetLife Stadium. Tennessee should still be riding high after a victory, while the Jets will be looking to right the ship.
New York was expected to have a tough go of it on Sunday, and that's exactly how things played out. They suffered a grim 26 to nothing defeat to the Denver Broncos. New York was down 20 to nothing at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from. One thing working slightly against New York was the run-of-the-mill game of their most targeted running back, RB Michael Carter, who rushed for 24 yards on nine carries.
Meanwhile, Tennessee was able to grind out a solid win over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, winning 25-16. Tennessee QB Ryan Tannehill did work as he passed for three TDs and 197 yards on 27 attempts in addition to picking up 56 yards on the ground. Tannehill ended up with a passer rating of 149.80.
The Jets are now 0-3 while the Titans sit at 2-1. Two offensive stats to keep an eye on: New York is worst in the league in overall offensive touchdowns, with only two on the season. Tennessee's offense has more to brag about, as they they come into the matchup boasting the third most rushing yards per game in the NFL at 159.3.
