2020 NFL Mock Draft: Patriots land Tom Brady's replacement, plus more results from CBS Sports HQ live mock
Check out all the picks made during the CBS Sports HQ two-hour mock draft special
It's a very special Mock Draft Monday, and that's because CBS Sports HQ rounded up former NFL players and analysts to go pick by pick through the first round of the NFL Draft.
With Thomas Rongen serving as the commissioner, we heard from ex-NFL players Brady Quinn, Bryant McFadden and Danny Kanell; NFL insider Jonathan Jones; senior NFL analysts Pete Prisco and Will Brinson; senior NFL Draft analyst Ryan Wilson and NFL writer John Breech as they made all 32 picks in the first round. No trades were allowed in this mock draft, though plenty of potential trade scenarios were discussed during the show.
We're bringing you a quick look at the results right now, but you can also scroll through our live blog below to get analysis of all the picks as they were made.

Were there more wide receiver (+.5) or offensive linemen? There were six wide receivers and six offensive linemen so wide receiver (+.5) cashes. For other prop bets, check out the initial release from William Hill. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/...
There were 15 SEC players taken in the first round and 17 players from other conferences. If you had taken odds on the other conferences, it would have cashed.
With the selection of Noah Igbinoghene at No. 32 overall, we have reached a push: 16 offensive players, 16 defensive players taken in the first round.
With the No. 32 overall selection, the Kansas City Chiefs and Ryan Wilson select Auburn cornerback Noah Igbinoghene.
With the No. 31 overall selection, the San Francisco 49ers and Jonathan Jones select TCU cornerback Jeff Gladney.
Packers had No. 30 overall*
With the No. 29 overall selection, the Green Bay Packer and Will Brinson select Clemson wide receiver Tee Higgins. Some help for Aaron Rodgers and a running mate for Davante Adams.
Breech was going for Jack Conklin's replacement at right tackle. He donated some bone marrow to his sister in the summer leading up to the 2019 season. He told me at the NFL combine that he could not lift with his back until four games into the season.
With the No. 29 overall selection, the Tennessee Titans and John Breech select USC offensive tackle Austin Jackson.
With the No. 28 overall selection, the Baltimore Ravens select Wisconsin linebacker Zach Baun. Bryant McFadden made the pick.
A William Hill prop bet that we are tracking. Does the offense or defense have more players selected in the first round? Right now, it is offense 14, defense 13. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/...
Coming out of the break, we have our first pick from the Baltimore Ravens. Will they provide some help around Lamar Jackson or boost a defense that has already added Michael Brockers and Calais Campbell this offseason? Stay tuned!
Jadeveon Clowney has not yet re-signed with Seattle. Is Gross-Matos their replacement for Clowney? Jonathan Jones moved to add some pass rush.
With the No. 27 overall selection, the Seattle Seahawks and Jonathan Jones select Penn State defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos.
I LOVE this pick for Miami. He is great value at this stage of the first round. McKinney has a lot of qualities that compare to Minkah Fitzpatrick. He offers a lot of versatility to that defense. You draft by value when you have as many needs as the Dolphins do. It's a home run.
With the No. 26 overall selection, the Miami Dolphins and Will Brinson select Alabama safety Xavier McKinney.
A fifth wide receiver is off the board and Mims might not be the last. Chris Trapasso broke these prospects down by several categories including yards after catch and route-running. For his perspective on how these players stack up and how they might fit on your team, check out his article: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/...
With Stefon Diggs gone via trade, Minnesota needed a compliment to Adam Thielen. There has been no prospect improve his draft stock more than Mims over the last few months. He impressed at the Reese's Senior Bowl and carried that positive narrative into the NFL combine.
With the No. 25 overall selection, the Minnesota Vikings and Brady Quinn select Baylor wide receiver Denzel Mims.
I'm higher on Murray than most. I love his active style of play. He needs to rein it in a little bit more but his sideline-to-sideline tendencies are perfect for the modern NFL.
With the No. 24 overall selection, the New Orleans Saints and Jonathan Jones select Oklahoma linebacker Kenneth Murray.
The Over/Under on Jordan Love's selection was 12.5, set by William Hill. The Over cashes big-time.
Love has some Patrick Mahomes type qualities with his ability to throw from odd arm angles and throw on the run. His lows are too low and that is a concern. Bill Belichick has not had to deal with the frustration that comes with a rookie quarterback for awhile. The Patriots seem to be publicly committing to Jarrett Stidham in the aftermath of Tom Brady's decision. Is it posturing? I would not put it past Belichick.
At No. 23 overall, the New England Patriots select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love. Ryan Wilson made the pick.
Love that call, Josh. And I can confirm that Josh and I had those conversations as well about Jefferson's value. But go back, listen to the pod, and it's all there. Jefferson has the bankable trait at WR -- separation skills via route running ability. I don't see the Eagles as the best fit for his skill set, and I don't see his skill set as the best fit for what the Eagles need (unless they can count on DeSean Jackson can staying healthy), but he would be the top WR avail on my board too, so I get it.
With the No. 22 overall selection, the Minnesota Vikings and Brady Quinn select Notre Dame edge rusher Julian Okwara from Quinn's alma mater.
Prior to the NFL combine, I joined the Pick Six podcast - CBS Sports' daily NFL podcast - and expressed my belief that Jefferson is WR4 and a likely first round selection. I think that idea has been widely adopted since. His body control down the field is phenomenal. He is difficult to contest and slippery after the catch. Great pick for Philadelphia, who is desperately in need of a wide receiver.
If you aren't listening to the Pick Six podcast, remedy that during these odd times: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/...
Gotcha Josh. I'm a big fan of Henderson, tbh. I think he's a top-15 player on my big board. Exactly what I look for in a boundary CB.
Yo, yo, yo. With the No. 21 overall selection, the Philadelphia Eagles select LSU wide receiver Justin Jefferson. John Breech makes the pick.
