Suh Fails Attempt at Second Career
Ndamukong Suh, the Lions' 2010 backup kicker, missed the extra point after Detroit scored a touchdown to lead the New York Jets 13-10. The Jets forced overtime and won 23-20, starting a five-game slide for the Lions.

John Carney Misses Extra Point, Saints Miss Playoffs
The Saints, longtime postseason outcasts, were in the 2003 wild card race. Trailing Jacksonville 20-13 in their next-to-last game, they trailed 20-19 after a desperation play. Carney's extra point attempt failed and the Saints' postseason drought continued until 2008.

Morten Andersen Miss Puts Jacksonville in Playoffs
The Falcons almost spoiled Jacksonville's 1996 playoff run. The Jags led 19-17, but Atlanta set up a 23-yard chip shot for the ultra-reliable Andersen. His plant foot slipped; he missed. Jacksonville began a streak of four consecutive playoff appearances.

Tony Romo Bobbles the Snap
Seattle missed a two-point conversion in a 2006 season NFC Wild Card game, leaving the score 21-20. Dallas drove to the Seattle 2-yard line, but kicker Martin Gramatica never got to win the game. Holder Tony Romo bobbled the snap and the Cowboys failed to score.

Vanderjagt Blows Field Goal-and His Top
Indianapolis' last chance for overtime in a 2005 AFC divisional playoff game came when Nick Harper's fumble recovery sparked an advance to the Pittsburgh 28-yard line. Mike Vanderjagt missed a 46-yard kick, threw down his helmet, and drew a 15-yard penalty.

Kaeding Strikes Out
Give Chargers' kicker Nate Kaeding a break on his 57-yard attempt before halftime. Don't forgive his misses of 36 and 40 yards. Success could have put San Diego in the 2010 AFC Championship Game. Jets kicker Jay Feely's 46-yard strike provided the victory margin.

Doug Brien Falls from Hero to Goat
Brien's overtime field goal won the 2004 AFC Wild Card tilt. In the divisional round's last 2:02 of regulation, Brien missed two chances to reach the AFC Championship Game. Steelers' kicker Jeff Reed hit a 33-yard overtime winner.

Del Greco Misses Help Ravens Twice
Tennessee kicker Al Del Greco's missed extra point helped preserve Baltimore's eventual seven-game winning streak. And Del Greco cost the Titans 16 points in their divisional playoff by missing three field goals, one of which the Ravens blocked and returned for a touchdown. The Ravens won 24-10 en route to Super Bowl XXXV.

Treadwell Misses Three-Bills Reach Super Bowl
Buffalo kicker Scott Norwood will never forget his miss in Super Bowl XXV. Denver's David Treadwell will never forget this three-miss AFC Championship Game that let Buffalo get to the big game. Norwood's fourth-quarter kick helped the Bills win 10-7.
