Jets G Peter Budaj's latest goalie mask features his Ned Flanders as a fighter pilot.
Peter Budaj might not be on the Winnipeg Jets active roster currently as he is down in the American Hockey League, but his new goalie mask is perfect for his NHL club.
One of the things Budaj is known for when it comes to goalie masks is that almost all of them featured Ned Flanders from The Simpsons. While Budaj was with the Colorado Avalanche, some of his teammates took to calling the goaltender “Flanders” as he is deeply religious, like the character on the popular TV show.
So now that Budaj is with the Jets, naturally, Ned Flanders has been turned into a fighter pilot on the mask designed by Dave Gunnarsson of DaveArt.

This might be the best of Budaj’s Flanders masks yet. Now we’ll have to wait and see if Budaj and the mask can make their way back to the NHL this season.
The veteran goaltender was traded to the Jets just prior to the start of this season by the Montreal Canadiens. He has made eight appearances for the St. John’s IceCaps in the AHL this season and has an .891 save percentage.
