Lessio signed with Russian club Medvescak Zagreb on Friday, TSN reports.
Lessio had his 2015-16 campaign cut short due to a knee injury, and subsequently failed to re-up with the Habs when he became a restricted free agent this summer. While he was not short on fanfare as LA's second-round pick in the 2011 draft, Lessio fell short of his lofty billing as a gifted offensive producer with wheels. In fact, the 23-year-old only produced seven points in 41 games between the Coyotes and Canadiens, plus he had a minus-11 rating over three years.

Canadiens' Lucas Lessio: Will not play again in 2015-16
Lessio (knee) has been ruled out for the reminder of the 2015-16 campaign, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Lessio, a second-round pick in 2011, suited up in 12 games for the injury-hit Habs this season, logging a goal and an assist. He's slated to become a restricted free agent this offseason, and it's unclear whether Montreal will retain his services.

His first goal in a Canadiens sweater couldn't have come at a more opportune time -- well, unless you're hoping the team tanks for draft picks, as most of their fans must be at this point. The 22-year-old winger has a 29-goal, 54-point AHL season on his resume, but that was two years ago now and things haven't been nearly so rosy since.

Lessio returned to action Wednesday night after missing some time with a knee injury and skated 11:21 in a 3-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Lessio showed some speed on the fourth line and we're expecting him to be in the lineup come Friday when the Habs host the Flyers. He was activated Wednesday while veteran Tomas Fleischmann was a healthy scratch, a sure sign that head coach Michel Therrien is getting a look at the younger players in the organization as the team's playoff hopes fade.

After posting decent numbers between the AHL affiliates of both Montreal and Arizona, Lessio finally received his first opportunity at the NHL level. Unfortunately, the former second-round pick's outing netted him just 6:43 of ice time before suffering a knee injury that has held him out the past couple weeks. He'll replace Tomas Fleischmann in Wednesday's lineup, likely destined for the team's fourth line and limited opportunities to post meaningful fantasy numbers.

Lessio will travel with the Canadiens for their upcoming three-game road trip.
Lessio is still in the first week of the 2-to-3 week recovery timetable he was given on Feb. 5, so it's quite surprising that he's already travelling with the team. He took part in practice with his teammates Thursday, indicating he could realistically return to the lineup as soon as Friday against Buffalo. Either way, the former second-round pick is still on injured reserve, meaning the Canadiens should announce his activation once he's fit to play.

Lessio (knee) underwent an MRI on Thursday and it's been determined that he will miss 2-to-3 weeks, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Lessio debuted with the Canadiens on Tuesday, but the 23-year-old forward sustained a knee injury in the contest upon getting hit by Flyers defenseman Radko Gudas. It's unlikely that many eyes were on Lessio in the fantasy realm since the gritty forward is in the developing stages of his NHL career, but this hurts the Habs since the team traded for him in mid-December. By the time he's ready to return, there could be less than a month and a half left on the regular-season schedule.

Lessio left Tuesday night's loss to the Flyers with what appeared to be a knee injury, after getting hit by Philadelphia defenseman Radko Gudas, NHL.com reports.
Lessio was making his Montreal debut Tuesday, skating 10 shifts and 6:43 before the Gudas hit, which cost Gudas five minutes in the penalty box for clipping. The injury leaves Lessio's status for Wednesday's game against Buffalo unknown.
