Bayern Munich vs. Lazio score: Lewandowski scores again as titleholders sail to Champions League quarterfinals
Bayern Munich had no trouble advancing against Lazio

Bayern Munich are into the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals after a 2-1 win over SS Lazio at Allianz Arena on Wednesday completed a 6-2 aggregate success. Robert Lewandowski's first-half penalty was the only goal of the first 45 minutes as the German and European champions added to their commanding first-leg lead and sailed to the quarterfinals.
The Poland international scored the opening goal in Rome and provided the same decisive action here to separate the sides at the break. Bayern boss Hansi Flick opted to make a few changes to his team, but the Bavarians were as dependable as always.
Lewandowski, chasing his 40th goal of the season, hit the woodwork in the second half but was unable to find his second of the encounter. However, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting needed just two minutes to hit the back of the net after he was teed up by David Alaba.
Lazio managed a consolation effort with eight minutes left when Andreas Pereira supplied Marco Parolo to head home but it was nothing more than that for the Italians.
The champions march on to the final eight while Lazio can now concentrate on their domestic duties for the remainder of the campaign.
Bayern Munich 2, Lazio 1 (6-2 on aggregate)
