Juventus vs. Inter Milan player ratings: De Ligt comes up big, Lukaku struggles in Coppa Italia

Juventus are through to the cup final after a 0-0 draw in Tuesday's second leg

Juventus are through to the Coppa Italia final after getting past Inter Milan in the semifinals on Tuesday, drawing the second leg 0-0 to advance 2-1 on aggregate. It was a match where both teams had clear chances, but precision was off and the goalkeepers made some important saves to keep the outcome hanging in the balance for much of the 90 minutes.

But how did each player perform in this one? Here are our player ratings for the match for every starter, substitute and manager.

(GK) Gianluigi Buffon	Really didn't face many shots on goal, but when he needed to come up big, he did. He was strong on crosses, showed no fear as usual and led this team.	7
(DEF) Danilo	Very active, slowing the Inter attack down with some well-timed challenges. He was all over the place.	8
(DEF) Matthijs de Ligt	Strong, as has been the case as of late. Timed his tackles well and is just a rock in the middle.	9
(DEF) Merih Demiral	Very attentive to cut off low passes. He was solid, but de Ligt was the guy who stole the show. Still, a strong shift.	6
(DEF) Alex Sandro	A tad sloppy at times, and he did get forward a bit too much considering what was at stake. Kept his positioning late when it mattered and had some decent moments.	5
(MID) Juan Cuadrado	Didn't have his usual impact. Saw a bit of the ball but not really in dangerous spots.	5
(MID) Rodrigo Betancur	Physical and confident in the middle. He was a bright spot and drew quite a few fouls to slow things down.	6
(MID) Adrien Rabiot	Another decent performance by him. He drops deep to recover the ball, and from there his passing was precise. Did what he needed to.	7
(MID) Federico Bernardeschi	Taken off after an underwhelming performance. It's not that he was bad, but he just wasn't all that involved.	5
(FWD) Cristiano Ronaldo	Boy did he waste some chances. He should have scored multiple goals. An off day, but he'll take the result.	5
(FWD) Dejan Kulusevski	Lacked confidence in the final third. His timing was also questionable. Taken off in second half.	4
(SUB 1) Weston McKennie	His passing was sloppy at times, but he made an impact in attack. He really should have had an assist, setting Ronaldo up beautifully.	6

(GK) Samir Handanovic	Had some really good saves but also benefited by Juve's lack of accuracy in attack. Still, he kept his team in this.	7
(DEF) Alessandro Bastoni	Nothing favorable here. Danilo was able to get by him a couple times and he just didn't seem all that in sync with the rest of the backline.	5
(DEF) Stefan de Vrij	Had an absolutely stunning block on Cristiano Ronaldo and seemed to be in great position almost always. Was very strong in the air as well.	7
(DEF) Milan Skriniar	Torn apart by Ronaldo a couple times but was lucky that the superstar missed. He improved a bit as the match went on but still had quite a bit of trouble.	4
(MID) Matteo Darmian	Timed his tackles poorly and was overrun a bit by Juve's midfield. Deserved to be taken off and was.	4
(MID) Christian Eriksen	Had a decent ball in on a cross, but he spent a lot of the match slipping and sliding on the grass. Continues to be a waste in this side.	4
(MID) Marcelo Brozovic	Maybe should have gotten a red card, and his composure was off. He was a bit of a hot head who never got comfortable.	4
(MID) Nico Barella	Some nice moments from a player who is turning into a start. He has vision, precision and really compliments his strikers well.	7
(MID) Achraf Hakimi	Really sharp in his passing, had a decent look on goal that he wasted, and he'll regret some of the decisions he made. Lively but largely ineffective.	5
(FWD) Lautaro Martinez	Not very clean. Missed some really good chances in the first half and was super quiet in the second half.	5
(FWD) Romelu Lukaku	Took a bit too long at times when he needed to take a shot. That overthinking of things was costly. Really should have come closer to scoring.	5
(SUB 1) Ivan Perisic	Poor off the bench. Didn't keep his cool. Underwhelming.	5
(SUB 2) Aleksandar Kolorov	Wanted to get a good look from a set piece but didn't. A step too slow at times and just not a contributor.	5

What a chance there! Hakimi is free on the right side of the box and sends the ball over the goal! Precision was off a good bit there, but boy was that a quality look! Pressure is on Inter even more now.

Inter are really knocking on the door now, but they just haven't been decisive enough. The passing and timing in attack is off, with Lukaku trying to do a little too much at times.
