The Champions League places are set in the Premier League with Manchester City, Chelsea, and Newcastle United booking their places on the final day of action. They'll join Liverpool, Arsenal, and Tottenham as the Premier League has six representatives in the competition next season.
Newcastle United were able to get the job done despite losing to Everton due to Aston Villa's loss to Manchester United. Emiliano Martinez was sent off in the first half, followed by a penalty being conceded, and that would be enough for the result. Nottingham Forest weren't able to get the job done at home against Chelsea, missing a key chance to put a bow on a fine season, but will still be in a Conference League spot while Villa heads to the Europa League alongside FA Cup winners Crystal Palace.
Liverpool also got to lift the Premier League trophy in front of their home fans. Trent Alexander-Arnold was brought on at halftime and introduced by Arne Slot to cheers from the home fans ahead of his summer move to Real Madrid, getting to take it all in ahead of leaving his boyhood club. With Mohamed Salah scoring, the Reds were able to secure a final point to close out the season on a high note in front of their fans before heading into their parade and an offseason to prepare for coming back stronger in the Champions League next season.
