Roma vs. Manchester United score, highlights: Cavani scores twice as Red Devils advance to Europa League final

Man United's first-leg advantage was too much for Roma to overcome

AS Roma defeated Manchester United 3-2 in their second-leg semifinal in Stadio Olimpico on Thursday. It was a consolation victory as Roma are eliminated from Europa League competition on an 8-5 goal aggregate. Manchester United are through to the May 26 Europa League final on the strength of their 6-2 win in last week's first leg. The Red Devils will face Villarreal, who knocked out Arsenal on Thursday. 

Edin Dzeko, Bryan Cristiante and Nicola Zalewski recorded goals for the Serie A side in the win, but Edinson Cavani scored twice as United never really flirted with losing their massive lead.

Manchester United have won the Europa League once, in 2017. The 2021 trip is their second to UEL final.
