Serie A scores, highlights: Roma, AC Milan dominate with four-goal performances; Napoli edge Genoa

There were plenty of goals in the late games on Sunday

Serie A Matchday 2 concluded on Sunday with four games ahead of the international break, and there was no shortage of goals. Both AC Milan and AS Roma scored four to continue their perfect starts to the season, giving fan bases reasons to believe that this could be their year to conquer the Italian top flight. Clinical Roma continue to impress

Who said Jose Mourinho's sides only park the bus and are boring to watch? So far, not this Roma. That's seven goals through their first two games, and just one conceded, with Sunday's win seeing Lorenzo Pellegrini score twice. His second, which made it 4-0, was a delight. Take a look:

Roma dominated from start to finish and had more shots on goal (nine) than their opponent had overall (five). Roma finished the match with 81 percent possession and 28 shots but scored all four of their goals in the second half. It's early, but boy do they look dangerous with Tammy Abraham fitting it well, getting his first goal for the club after his move from Chelsea.

Giroud shows he's still more than capable 

Olivier Giroud is fitting in nicely in Milan with his two-goal performance against Cagliari. The Frenchman may be 34 years of age, but he looked sharp and took his chances well as the giants showed a bit more in attack this time around.

His contributions in attack come at a crucial time with the club aiming to build momentum ahead of getting Zlatan Ibrahimovic back from injury. In Giroud, they've found somebody they can already count on and a player who has adapted quickly to the style in Italy.

Napoli win it late 

Napoli pulled a win out of their hat thanks to Andrea Petagna's late header winner as they beat Genoa, 2-1. It was a tight match that Napoli should have had in control late on but couldn't finish an abundance of chances, instead relying on their super sub's lovely effort at the front post:

The two-goal showing was a strong one considering starting striker Victor Osimhen was shown a red card on Matchday 1, with Napoli deploying a front three of wingers that ended up working in the end. A win is a win.
