2022 Women's NCAA Tournament: How to watch, stream, schedule, dates, championship odds
The 2022 Women's NCAA Tournament gets underway on March 16 when the First Four games begin

The 2022 Women's NCAA Tournament is slated to get underway on March 16 when Stanford will officially begin defending their 2021 national title. Despite Stanford winning the NCAA Tournament last season -- and the Pac-12 Tournament championship in 2022 -- the Cardinal aren't the favorite this time around.
According to Caesars Sportsbook, South Carolina is currently the favorite with +200 odds. The Gamecocks put together an incredibly impressive campaign this season with a 29-2 record. The only losses on South Carolina's schedule were a 70-69 overtime loss to Missouri back on Dec. 30 and a 64-62 shocking loss to Kentucky in the SEC Tournament championship.
South Carolina's tremendous season comes one year after reaching the Final Four in the 2021 NCAA Tournament, where they ended up falling 66-65 to Stanford.
Following South Carolina, UConn (+325) and Stanford (+600) have the next-best odds. It's no secret that the Huskies have won 11 national championships under Hall of Fame head coach Geno Auriemma and did reach the Final Four last season.
For the first time, the women's tournament will feature 68 teams, mirroring the men's tournament with the First Four ahead of the first round. The First Four and first and second rounds will take place at campus sites, while the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight regionals will be at Bridgeport, Greensboro, Spokane, Wichita before the Final Four in Minneapolis.
