WATCH: Adonis 'Superman' Stevenson delivers brutal KO to retain title
Stevenson was in a slugfest with Thomas Williams Jr. before earning the victory
They call him 'Superman' for a reason. WBC light heavyweight champion Adonis Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) came out of the gates swinging on Friday night in Canada and left with his belt and scoring a brutal knockout of Thomas Williams Jr. in the fourth round.
Stevenson and Williams Jr. traded blows for the first three rounds, including the champ scoring a knockdown at the end of the first round. But Williams Jr., was able to rally, telling he corner he was OK. In the second, Williams Jr. went on the attack, throwing and landing multiple heavy shots that looked to at least wobble the champ. Each time Stevenson connected with a shot on him, Williams Jr. would point to his chin to say it's not hurting.
Well, that was until the fourth round and this happened.

The Haitian-born fighter maintained his 13-fight win streak and has four KO/TKOs in his last six fights. He was pretty proud of his efforts after the fight.
I told you. Don't blink. 👊🏿 #PBConSpikepic.twitter.com/bf3omSUnCF

The next fight many fans want to see from his is a unification bout with Sergey Kovalev or Andre Ward. Those two are scheduled to fight this November for Kovalev's WBA, WBO and IBF light heavyweight crowns. Here's to hoping we get to see two powerhouses collide in the near future.
