More and more college football stadiums are tapping into the beer market to provide a comfortable place for adults to enjoy an alcoholic beverage while watching their favorite team. The idea of selling beer at college football games was unique not too long ago, but the floodgates are open and now the bar is being raised with nicer amenities for consumption.

Colorado State has paired up with its neighbors, the Fort Collins, Colorado-based New Belgium Brewery, for a $4.3-million dollar stadium project. The money is being donated by New Belgium, which will receive the naming rights for the "New Belgium Porch" located at the north end of the stadium.

"We're delighted to expand our partnership with New Belgium Brewing - and to honor the innovative, entrepreneurial spirit of our community by highlighting a tremendously successful, home-grown brand at the new stadium," Colorado State president Tony Frank said. "... We're proud of them as CSU alumni, and we know that Colorado State University is just one of the many organizations that have benefited from the generous, community-minded spirit they continue to foster at New Belgium. We are truly grateful for their support of our students, academic programs and now a one-of-a-kind game-day experience for Rams fans."

Colorado State has raised more than $51 million for its brand new $220 million on-campus stadium since the project was approved in 2014. This is not the first time that New Belgium, makers of Fat Tire and other well-known craft beers, has given to the school, donating $1 million to update and renovate facilities utilized by CSU's Fermentation Science and Technology program in 2015.

Not to mention, this new porch is just another piece for Colorado State can use in its pitch to the Big 12.
