Western Kentucky stuns with a fake kneel down, lineman TD in Boca Raton Bowl win
The Hilltoppers were throwing out all the trick plays in South Florida, including a fake knee
The Boca Raton Bowl was expected to be a shootout between Western Kentucky and Memphis, and it lived up to the billing with 82 combined points in a 51-31 Hilltoppers victory.
The Hilltoppers got monster games from running back Anthony Wales (35 attempts, 245 yards and 3 touchdowns) and quarterback Mike White (20-of-30 passing, 336 yards, 3 touchdowns and 1 interception), but the Hilltoppers also dug deep into the playbook for the bowl game.
First, Western Kentucky dialed up the old throwback screen to all-conference tackle Forrest Lamp for a score in the first quarter.

Near the end of the first half, WKU decided it wasn't done with the trick plays and broke out the extremely rare fake kneel down for a 53-yard gain.

The fake knee did not lead to any points as quarterback Mike White threw an interception on the next play, but that doesn't make it any less awesome.
Western Kentucky's 51 points boosts their per game average to 45.5, which currently leads the nation with Louisville still to play its bowl game.
