SEATTLE (AP) Jonathan Williams scored 26 points, Nathan Boothe registered a triple-double, and Toledo beat San Jose State 89-74 to advance in the winner's bracket in the Great Alaska Shootout.
RENO, Nev. (AP) Marqueze Coleman scored 21 points with six assists and four rebounds as Nevada beat Portland State 76-73 Wednesday night.
LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Josh Adams scored 23 points, Jonathan Barnes had a go-ahead dunk with 13 seconds left, and Wyoming held off a second-half rally to beat CS Bakersfield 68-64 on Wednesday night.
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) Elijah Brown scored five of his 18 points at the start of a decisive 14-2 New Mexico run Wednesday night that helped propel the Lobos to a 75-63 win over Nicholls State.
BOULDER, Colo. (AP) Josh Scott scored 21 points and Josh Fortune added a season-high 18 as Colorado beat Air Force 81-70 on Wednesday night.
Colorado's Tory Miller was ejected from Wednesday's game against Air Force for biting an opposing player.
LAHAINA, Hawaii (AP) Patrick McCaw scored 20 points and UNLV hung on through the frantic final seconds for a 72-69 victory over No. 13 Indiana on Wednesday in the fifth-place game of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational.
Indiana needs to get back home as soon as possible.
California has only faced inferior opponents and shouldn't see a ranked one until the week of Christmas. Thanksgiving, though, won't be for just sitting back and relaxing.
Coaches are usually the last to learn on these issues, and Utah State coach Tim Duryea's the latest to see why.
