Lopez was released by the Angels on Wednesday.

He finished the year on the 60-day DL with a broken hand, and despite being 28 years old, he has only played in seven MLB games. Lopez could catch on as organizational depth with a team that is weak at catcher, but he is unlikely to develop into a useful fantasy option.
