Travis underwent knee surgery Friday, Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com reports. He is expected to be fully ready by spring training.

There was nothing to suggest the procedure was more invasive than the standard arthroscopic surgery. Travis was limited throughout October after an MRI revealed a bone bruise as well a small flap of cartilage caught between the joint in his knee. If healthy, Travis will almost certainly open 2017 as the Blue Jays' starting second baseman.
