Moss was placed on the disabled list with a sprained left ankle, Jenifer Langosch of MLB.com reports.
This is the first we've heard of the injury, but Moss is apparently dealing with a relatively severe sprain, as players typically get a few days to monitor an injury before a DL placement. The Cardinals' leading home run hitter, who's batting .251 on the year, won't be available until after the All-Star break. Randall Grichuk was recalled from Triple-A Memphis to take his place on the roster.
