Kazmir (hip) has struggled to add velocity to his fastball in recent workouts, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
The Dodgers haven't been pleased with Kazmir's performance in recent throwing sessions. Club management has reported that Kazmir is healthy and should be able to throw without any restrictions, but his velocity has drastically fallen. While his fastball is typically around the 91-mph mark, it was reported that it was hovering around 82-84 during Thursday's simulated game. This will certainly be a focus for the remainder of spring training as Kazmir continues battling for a spot at the back end of the rotation.
