Dodgers' Scott Van Slyke: Transferred to 60-day DL

Van Slyke (wrist) was transferred to the 60-day DL on Thursday.

This move officially closes the door on a return for Van Slyke during the regular season -- he was placed on the 15-day DL on Aug. 8. Van Slyke struggled to a .606 OPS in his 52 games this year, and while he probably wouldn't command a whole lot in arbitration this winter, the Dodgers may just opt to non-tender him and move on.
