Mariners' Felix Hernandez: Not ready to begin throwing

Hernandez (shoulder) is progressing well but still does not have a date set for which he'll begin throwing, Greg Johns of MLB.com reports.

Due to the fact that he's still not ready to begin throwing, it remains difficult to pinpoint an accurate estimated return date for Hernandez. His recent injury diagnosis suggested that the righty would be sidelined for 3-to-4 weeks and Thursday's update does nothing to materially alter that initial timetable. A more clear idea of when he'll be able to return should come into focus once he's able to begin throwing again.
