Wheat, listed as the number one independent league prospect according to Baseball America, has plus-plus speed and a good amount of plate discipline to go with it. Although he has some tools that need a bit of polish, the outfielder possesses a fourth-outfielder ceiling that he realistically could reach with a bit of development.
