Mets' Logan Verrett: Earns first win of 2016

Verrett (1-0) threw six scoreless innings, allowing six hits and a walk while striking out four in Tuesday's win over the Phillies.

Verrett threw another gem in his second start in place of Jacob deGrom. In his two starts this season, the right-hander hasn't allowed a run while striking out ten in 12 innings. DeGrom should be back for his next start, but Verrett has certainly marked himself as the top option when a spot-start is needed.
