Verrett is expected to start Saturday against the Nationals in place of Matt Harvey (shoulder), ESPN.com reports.
Seth Lugo was brought up in a corresponding move with Harvey landing on the DL on Tuesday, but it sounds like it will be Verrett who takes Harvey's final turn before the All-Star break. Control issues have plagued Verrett in his five starts for the Mets this season -- he's issued 14 free passes in 23.2 innings as a starter -- with his FIP pushing 5.80 in a starting role.
