Lobstein was designated for assignment Wednesday.

With Drew Stubbs being claimed by the Orioles, Lobstein was designated for assignment to make room for Stubbs on the 40-man roster. One possibility is that Lobstein will end up at Triple-A Norfolk and serve as a reliever until their season concludes in early September.
