Phillies' Connor Seabold: Goes to Phillies in third round

The Phillies have selected Seabold with the 83rd overall pick in the 2017 first-year player draft.

A 21-year-old righty from Cal State Fullerton, Seabold does not have a very impressive arsenal, sitting in the upper-80s with his fastball, while featuring fringe average secondaries in his curveball and changeup. What he does have is impeccable control, which has been a trait the Phillies have targeted in previous drafts. If he maxes out he could pitch at the back of a big-league rotation, but would be a low-strikeout starter, lacking fantasy appeal in most formats.
