Benintendi, 22, is batting .438 with three home runs, eight RBI and two steals over his past 10 games for Double-A Portland.
The adjustment period appears over for Benintendi, who is now slashing .289/.348/.512 with six home runs, 28 RBI and six steals through 44 games at this level. His hit tool is by far his best attribute, though he should also register double-digit home runs and steals. Benintendi will play in the Futures Game and could be an option for the Red Sox as early as the start of the 2017 campaign.
