Twins' Joe Mauer: Reaches base seven times

Mauer went 4-for-5 with three walks and his third home run of the season in Sunday's extra-inning loss to Tampa Bay.

Mauer is the second Twins player ever to reach base seven-plus times in a game. Rod Carew got on base eight times in 1972. After hitting .225 in April, Mauer is hitting .347 with three home runs in May.
