Twins' Wilfredo Tovar: Signs minor league contract with Twins

Tovar signed a minor league contract with the Twins on Tuesday, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Tovar spent all of 2015 with the Mets' Triple-A affiliate in Las Vegas, batting .283 with 42 RBI and 30 stolen bases. The 24-year-old played significant innings at second base, third base, and shortstop last year, which could help him in the long run as he tries to move up to playing with the major league club.
