Bulls' Nikola Mirotic: Named starting power forward

Coach Fred Hoiberg confirmed that Mirotic would start at power forward in Tuesday's season opener against the Cavaliers, Nick Friedell of ESPN Chicago reports.

The announcement came as no surprise after Mirotic displaced Joakim Noah in the lineup over the final few preseason contests. The second-year man will give the Bulls some more spacing on the floor due to his ability to knock down three-pointers, though Mirotic's appointment to a starting role comes with the trade off of poorer overall team defense.
