MRI results on Waiters' sprained left ankle came back negative Tuesday, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.
It's a good sign for Waiters and the Heat, who are hoping to have the starting wing back as soon as possible for their playoff push. He'll continue to nurse the ankle injury back in Miami while the Heat complete their road trip with games Tuesday against the Pistons and Wednesday against the Knicks. It's possible that he could return at some point over the weekend if he's able to resume practicing with Heat once the team returns from the road trip, though that's far from a given.
