Galloway will decline his $5.4 million player option for the 2017-18 season, Michael Scotto of the Associated Press reports.
After spending the first 55 games of the 2016-17 campaign with the Pelicans, Galloway was a part of trade that sent him to the Kings for the final 19 games of the season. Between the two teams, Galloway averaged 7.9 points, 2.1 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.6 three-pointers across 20.2 minutes. It's unclear if Galloway will be able to command more than the $5.4 million he was slated to make, but he'll bet on himself with the hope of finding a situation where he can thrive. Galloway likely won't be more than a reserve no matter where he signs.
