The Mavericks won't sign Harris for the rest of the season after his second 10-day contract expired Wednesday, Marc Stein of ESPN.com reports.
Harris has been a standout for the Mavs' D-League affiliate this season with averages of 26.2 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.9 assists in 39.0 minutes per game, but he didn't make much of any impact during his two 10-day contracts with the big club. He only appeared in four games for the Mavericks, averaging 2.0 points and 2.3 rebounds in 6.3 minutes per game. Harris will now head back to the Legends and can be signed by any of the other 29 NBA teams if he's deemed worthy.
