Kanter (ankle) posted 18 points (6-9 FG, 6-6 FT), an assist, and 11 rebounds in Sunday's 111-98 victory over the Nuggets.
Kanter showed no ill effects from the sprained ankle that caused him to miss the Thunder's prior preseason contest against the Grizzlies, posting his second consecutive double-double. The fifth-year pro has been outstanding over four exhibition games, scoring in double figures in each while hauling in an impressive 35 boards over that span. Currently slotted as the primary backup at both the four and five, Kanter could nevertheless certainly spell Steven Adams at center on some nights if the depth chart holds true heading into the regular season. Regardless of his role, Kanter's outstanding all-around play figures to earn him a decent amount of court time, although the Thunder certainly have a plethora of scoring options when everyone in the starting five is healthy.
