Looney scored four points (1-1 FG, 2-2 FT) to go with three rebounds and two assists in seven minutes in Friday's 122-114 win over the Pelicans.
Looney's efficiency off the bench Friday stood in stark contrast to the production of the team's reserve big men in Tuesday's loss to teh Spurs. There were fewer minutes available for David West while JaVale McGee and Anderson Varejao never got off the bench, giving the second-year forward an opportunity to establish a spot in the team's regular rotation. As long as Looney can provide some rebounding -- a clear area of need on the roster -- he'll remain part of the rotation.
