Panthers' Josh Norman: Will not report for workouts

Norman will not report for the Panthers' offseason workouts next week, ESPN.com reports.

Norman remains in search of a long-term extension with the Panthers, so he hasn't signed the roughly $14 million franchise tag offered to him last month. Until Carolina's management displays a willingness to come closer to the contract terms proposed by Norman's camp, he's expected to remain away from the team and cannot be fined for doing so, since he technically isn't under contract at the moment.
