Carrier has been selected by the Vegas Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Expansion Draft, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Buffalo is sending a sixth-round draft pick to Vegas as part of the deal. Carrier is a big body (6-foot-2, 215 pounds) with a nice set of mitts around the front of the net, but he's struggled to score and been injury prone throughout his career as a professional. He posted just five goals in 41 games for the Sabres last season. Like many players selected by Vegas on Wednesday, Carrier is a project.
